Getting Started with BrisaMail
BrisaMail is a modern, fast, and secure desktop email client for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
System Requirements
BrisaMail is a lightweight application that runs well on most modern computers.

Per operating system:
- Linux: Ubuntu 22.04+, Fedora 38+, or any modern distribution with WebKitGTK (64-bit)
- Windows: Windows 10 or later, 64-bit (includes WebView2)
- macOS: macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Intel or Apple Silicon)
Resource usage
BrisaMail uses less than 250 MB of RAM during normal use. Incremental sync minimizes network and battery usage.
Installation
Linux
# Debian/Ubuntu (.deb)
sudo dpkg -i brisamail_latest_amd64.deb
# Fedora/RHEL (.rpm)
sudo rpm -i brisamail_latest_x86_64.rpm
# AppImage (any distribution)
chmod +x BrisaMail-latest.AppImage
./BrisaMail-latest.AppImage
Windows
Download the .exe or .msi installer from the downloads page and follow the installation wizard.
macOS
Download the .dmg file from the downloads page, open it, and drag BrisaMail to your Applications folder.
Set up your first account
- Open BrisaMail
- Click Add Account
- Enter your email address and password
- BrisaMail will automatically detect your server settings
- Click Connect and you're done
